Susan
Fesus
Susan Fesus has passed away but I will not forget the lady who saved my life in 1985. I had the opportunity to thank her for what she did for me on at least two occasions. One was three months prior to my last chemo treatment when I told her that I thought she was wasting drugs on me because I believed that I had been cured. Her response was that she would decide when the treatment would end and that it was not at that moment. Three months later she told me that a treatment the next week would end the second round of a treatment schedule that she had initially believed would run for three rounds. She said that about a month after that treatment she would schedule a bone marrow a bone marrow test and that if that showed up clear she would schedule a bone marrow harvest at the Cleveland Clinic where they would freeze the sample against the future need for a reimplantation. She would then discontinue the treatment. That occurred in November of 1987 and approximately twenty years later the Cleveland Clinic informed me that they had never reimplanted bone marrow that long after harvesting and aksed if I would give tham permission to use that material fo "Stem Cell Research" Their were many health care people involved in that treatment whou also deserve recognition of the caare they provided during that journey. Nurse Melissa Smith and Dr Gary Nicholson are two who come to mind.

Thank you for taking the time to explain to me the process needed. In order to
start my road to surgery. Your patience with me is highly appreciated. I have seen many doctors in the greater Dayton area. over the last ten years, and I finally found you.

Steffensmeier
I consider myself to be a word smith, so I could go on and on! But, in simple words, Dr. Steffensmeier, and his most competent team, are responsible for my having a good life. Dr. Steffensmeier performed a difficult operation on my right hip. Through, all the difficulties, he and his staff have been there. I only wish they could be my primary medical office. Thank you Dr. Steffensmeier, Billy and the entire staff.
I will sign off as I usually do.
As always,
ME
