I have been Dr. Mauer’s patient for at least 20 years. His greatest gift, aside from being a most caring and utmost professional, is teaching a patient how to care for their own health and wellbeing with his guidance and wisdom about the human body. With his retirement on the horizon, not only will I miss him dearly, but feel as if I am about to lose a dear friend. I will seek another doctor with John’s same approach to medical practice, but understand how difficult that may be. I believe there is a male doctor out there somewhere like him.
