Dr. Sequeira saved my life. He was extremely instrumental in helping me get a diagnosis of AL amyloidosis. Fortunately I am in remission after treatment. Thank you Dr. Sequeira for being such a wonderful and caring physician.

Smith
Dr. Smith, you are such a blessing being our doctor. You give us your time and your understanding when we tell you the things that are wrong with us and you work with us by being so patient. If only more doctors in this world could be like you no one would be afraid to go to a doctor for anything. You are such a blessing to the medical field and helping people and understanding what's going on with their lives. Thank you for being our doctor and God bless you on this day. Thank you John and Gloria MERz

I can't begin to thank John enough for all he has done for my family over the years.
With my first baby he helped calm all those new mother fears we all know too well.
One appointment he sat with me and went through every vaccine, what was in it, what the illness would be and the potential outcome of having said illness would be.
Now with my fourth baby John continues to reassure me in my choices for my childrens health. Lets be honest he still had to calm those motherly fears from time to time.
He had fit my kids into his whatbim sure is a busy schedule just to make sure they are seen and taken care of before the weekend.
I'm so thankful for all that John has done for out little family.

Alter
Dr. Alter quite literally saved my and my son's life on May 17. 2024.
I had been into labor and delivery and kept overnight for observation. A small back story I had, had three previous c-sections from 2019 to 2022. This being my 4th Cesarean.
That night I had been complaining of burning behind my existing incision. I was not receiving many answers as to why. From the sounds of it I was about to be sent home.
I requested that Dr. Alter come speak with me before a final decision was made on my staying. I showed him where I was having pain and what it felt like. With in minutes he made the call to take me back for a cesarean. I was prepped with in 20-30 minutes and was back ready to have my baby boy.
As he began my c-section I had a uterine rupture. The burning was the beginning of the rupture. Had I been sent home my son and I would likely have not made it.
While I know Gods hand was on Dr.Alter and his decision making. I’m still beyond thankful that he took the time to slow down and look at the situation for what it was and not just go by the books.
I had planned on having more babies in the future, with the rupture that became something I was no longer able to do. When Dr. Alter broke that news to my husband and me he was so kind, caring and really made sure I understood the risks that came with another pregnancy.
Any and all visits I’ve had with Dr. Alter I have left feeling heard, understood and cared for.
Thank you doesn’t seem like enough to thank the person who saved not only my life but my son’s life.

Fralick
Dr. Fralick,
A little over a year ago, you helped me to deliver my 4th baby- a healthy baby boy named Mack.
Although it was my 4th birth, it was the first time birth was allowed to happen my way, at my pace, with my wishes taken into consideration. I really respected the way you balanced best practice with meeting the needs of your patient (me!)
I was about a week over my due date when I was induced - I appreciated the way you let me take my time, held off on pitocin, let me try a foley bulb, and respected my wishes to labor without an epidural. It was the first time I had really been given options and an opinion on the birthing process, but I also knew when it came down to it, you would get my baby out safely.
Fast forward a year later and I look back on that birthing experience with so much pride and thankfulness, and it never could have happened without you! I think of you often— raising a baby yourself, and all that comes with being a working mom (the pumping, the exhaustion!!) and even in the middle of that, you continued to be excellent in your career. That is, and was, inspirational to me, so I just wanted to say— keep going! You are touching lives, you are making a difference, and I have no doubt you are rocking motherhood, as well. Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
Your Patient,
Jennifer Harshberger

Mascarenhas MD
Last November I was suffering from severe lower back pain and went to the Sycamore Hospital ER for help. I was moved to an observation floor where Dr. Mascarenhas along with his nurse practitioner arranged for me to have a Lumbar Transforaminal Epidural Steroid Injection while still in the hospital. The injection was helpful in reducing pain and regaining mobility.
Thank you Dr. Mascarenhas.
