Our adult fitness programs help you stay active, regardless of your age or fitness level. Kettering Health Sports Medicine offers programs at several convenient locations so you can keep doing the activities you enjoy.

Classes Available at Kettering Health

We offer four different adult-fitness classes geared to specific ages and activity levels. With us on your side, you’ll reach your fitness goals one step at a time. 

FITT for Life

This program is designed to help ease the challenges of everyday living. The program focuses on strength, balance, coordination, and flexibility. Exercises range in difficulty, from beginners to those looking for more of a challenge. Classes are offered at Kettering Health Washington Township and meet two times a week for six weeks. 

Metabolic rate evaluation

This program, offered at our Far Hills location, helps provide men and women with tools to aid your weight-loss journey. Understanding your metabolic rate can help you control your weight loss and gain, improve weight-related health conditions, and identify balanced eating strategies. Participants will

• Use the MedGem® oxygen consumption device to determine metabolic rate and percentage of body fat.
• Review current physical activity, calorie intake, and nutritional needs.
• Receive detailed information explaining metabolic gap.
• Implement personalized plan of action, including nutrition consultation, meal planning, and exercise goal. 

Therapy 2 Fitness

This program is designed for patients who have completed physical therapy and are interested in continuing to work toward their health goals. Kettering Health Sports Medicine offers professional training to ensure proper form and technique. 

Participants will work one-on-one with an exercise physiologist for up to 60 minutes per session at either our Far Hills or Tipp City location. Sessions include cardiovascular, flexibility, and strength components with an emphasis on core stability and areas of weakness. Also included is a dietary analysis.
