Dr. Riggs, I’m coming up on my 3 year end of chemo anniversary. As I reflect on my cancer treatment journey I am reminded over and over of your compassionate, wise and unfailing care during the hardest parts of my journey through to the present. Thank you, thank you for allowing God to use you in helping me through a very difficult time and on to the rest of my life. May He continue to lead you in your healing ministry.

Dr. Nanda - I think I thank you every year on Dr's day but you are so deserving. I met you 4 years ago during my cancer diagnosis; you were recommended by my nephew, Tyler. Never has a recommendation been more perfect. No one wants to hear the "C" word; I've never been more scared in my life. But you, and your entire team, are beyond amazing. You are caring and compassionate but also honest and straight forward. I have recommended you many times and will continue to recommend you to anyone taking this unwanted journey. You have been blessed with a gift. Your job has to be difficult but you do it with grace and compassion. Thank you just doesn't feel like enough, but thank you. I'm 4 years in and looking forward to many more thanks to you!

Thank you for being committed to work with me to give me an active life back. I'm back on the bike path several times a week; walk; swim; still work for KHBMC; do some clinical instructing for Cedarville University; hang out with three cute little grandkids. 🙂 Sounds pretty active to me. 🙂

My best friend in Michigan was surprised you did it based on my age so thank you for looking at the big picture :).

I still lead with my right leg going up steps and do one at a time but I think that will come in time.
