I am so privileged to work on my Physical Therapy with Zach Baker (Rachel and Ashley) and university students observing the work at Maple Tree Cancer Alliance (MTCA) every Monday from 4 to 5 pm. I have a lifelong curse of GIST (Gastro Intestinal Stromal Tumor) cancer that metastasized and spread to my bones a 2nd time since 2011. The MTCA provides this service free to cancer patients and encourages patients to use exercise as a means to become the best, healthy self one can be while battling this horrible disease. The team of professional Therapists tolerate my incessant talking while I exercise, and I'm truly grateful for their friendship and encouragement to work hard at making exercise maintain my mobility which I lost in 2021 when cancer struck me for this 2nd bout. I was unable to walk or get myself to the bathroom back then, but now I'm living independently again due to the routine of exercises to build strength in my body. Cancer may yet take me to my Heavenly home, but not without this fight! Thank you MTCA team, and Dr. Karen Wonders!!!!!
