I really appreciate everything you do to take such good care of me. Thank you so much for the excellent attention you give me.

My mother was hospitalized from March 3-9, 2026. During her stay I was in Florida, and as her daughter and POA, I was trying to find out as much information as possible about her condition. The staff was great about communicating with me and/or finding out the correct individuals that I needed to speak to.

Dr. Susan Grandhi was my mother's physician, and Mom was very fortunate to have her! She was not only thorough with her testing to determine the cause of Mom's confusion, but went the extra mile to keep our family informed. She called our family to share what was happening with Mom, and was willing to give us her direct phone number in case we had any questions. I have NEVER had a doctor from any hospital offer family members their number to call the doctor directly!! I did indeed call her several times to ask questions, and Dr. Grandhi always answered the phone quickly and gladly answered our questions and shared about Mom's condition. I limited my calls to her, but never got the feeling that I was bothering her. She was always pleasant and very helpful.

My mother was also impressed with the doctor. Even though mom was quite ill and suffering from confusion, she told me numerous times how much she liked Dr, Grandhi and how she was kind to her and kept her informed as to what was going on with her as well. This is a doctor with a great bedside manner!

A week after my mother was discharged from the hospital, I reached out to Dr. Grandhi because I had a concern about something that was going on with my mother at her nursing home. I was so impressed how the doctor once again took the time to talk to me. She even looked up Mom's chart to check her records for her stay and gave me a suggestion for something to mention that the nursing home nurses could check on. What a blessing this doctor has been to our mother and our family!!

Kettering Hospital should be very proud to have Dr. Susan Grandhi as one of their physicians. She is certainly an asset to their medical community!

Dr Helan is the Best!! She always explains what is going on and what we should expect before during and after. She will explain it so that we can understand everything.She is always very patient and friendly. We always have a lot of questions when we see her.If it wasn't for her and her team my husband Charles probably would not be here this year! We appreciate you for everything you do!!

I would like to say Dr. Patel is a very “special person” to me. She knew what I needed and took very good care of me. She contacted all other Dr’s to help take care of my situation but she never once gave up checking on me and my progress. I love her professional skills and how she knows exactly what needs to be done. Kettering is very lucky to have her on their staff.

Dr. Andrew Steffensmeier is one of THE BEST doctors that I have ever had! He performed hip and knee replacement surgeries for me last year, and I am so grateful for him not only as an EXTREMELY SKILLED surgeon, but also for his kind, caring and understanding demeanor. Each time I have seen him, whether in his office or at the hospital, his great smile, friendly and caring personality have made me feel at ease. He takes the time to truly listen to his patients and their concerns, and then he explains his recommended course of care in a way you that you can understand so that you can make your own informed decisions. My quality of life has improved immensely after having my surgeries! I am able to get back to my walking routine and enjoy playing with my grandchildren again. I certainly hope that Dr. Steffensmeier will be around should I need any future procedures! He Is THE BEST! 🙂

You always greet me with a smile and a threat to stick me with a HUGE needle. LOL But I'm very appreciative of those shots I get. Your cheerful personality makes my visits a pleasure coming to see you. Which I've been doing for years btw. Will miss you when you decide in the future, whenever that may be, to hang it all up. Which can't be until after I die. 🙂
