Dr Gothard has made the biggest impact on my life than any other Doctor and I've seen plenty. From age 14-26 I suffered from excruciating menstrual pains, infertility, depression from not feeling like a complete woman. Only to be dismissed and given IB profen by other physicians .... He has made me feel heard and like I matter. He took my complications and concerns serious and found the root of all my issues , endometriosis. He saved me in more ways than one. 3 months after my procedure I became pregnant for the first time. Now I have my first child , my pride and joy, my purpose in this life.

It's fitting that there should be one day a year set aside to let very special doctors know just how much they mean to their patients. When Jim and I returned to our hometown, we knew that finding the right primary care doctor was paramount. We couldn't have imagined a better fit than you, Dr. Avera. Your attention to detail, your thoughtfulness, your kindness all just complement your amazing ability to quickly grasp the big picture without losing sight of the little things. There is not enough words to express how thankful I am for you fixing me. Both shoulders both knees hip and hopefully soon right hip. Your kindness to both Dave and I has meant a lot. When we came to you the first time for Dave’s sprain foot you shook my hand and said ( we will be talking about that shoulder before you leave. )Well we did and I am so thankful you fixed me. I consider you a friend. I brag to everyone about you like a family member. Every one that has been with me to appts has see what a good person you are.
