Care for Mind and Body
After you give birth, it’s natural for new and difficult emotions to arise as your hormones, body, and life change. Your mental health is as important as your physical health. To support you after you have a baby, we screen for and treat postpartum depression early.
What is Postpartum Depression
Postpartum depression refers to feelings of sadness, numbness, or emptiness that many women experience after giving birth. Although postpartum depression is common—up to one in nine women experience it—you don’t need to get through alone. Seeking the right care can help both you and your baby be as healthy as you can be during this new phase of life.
Why Choose Us for Postpartum Depression Care?
Our team provides comprehensive women’s healthcare by offering the following:
- Culture of compassion: As a faith-based organization, we prioritize treating everyone with respect and compassion. Our doctors work together to put each woman’s needs first.
- Collaborative care: We work closely with your primary care provider to ensure you receive timely, efficient care. Shortly after you give birth, our providers screen for postpartum depression.
- Comprehensive follow-up: After your visit, a care manager checks with you to ensure you have the resources to follow your treatment plan. We work closely with our behavioral health team to coordinate any follow-up care you may need.
