We provide educational health fair booths at locations throughout the community. All booths are designed to be interactive, and most can be modified to meet your specific needs.
Wellness/Health Fair Booth Options
Advance Directives are legal documents that provide instructions about your health care wishes in case you are unable to speak for yourself due to a medical condition. A Kettering Health staff member will provide education on advance directives and how to access and process forms. This booth can be paired with MyChart education.
This booth conveys the short- and long-term effects of alcohol consumption on health. Individuals can test their knowledge of alcohol consumption on physical performance, as well as on facts vs myths.
This booth is staffed by a registered nurse who will provide education and literature on the importance of controlling blood pressure. Blood pressure readings are included.
Don’t let germs get you down! Learn practical strategies to stay healthy and boost your immune system.
This booth focuses on age- and gender-specific screening guidelines. Tips on lowering risk are provided by a Kettering Health professional. Specific focus areas can be requested.
A1c Awareness
- Nearly one-third of those with diabetes are unaware that they have the disease. An A1c test measures a person’s average blood sugar from the last two to three months and can be used to identify prediabetes and diabetes. A Kettering Health professional will use visual aids and literature to discuss the importance of having an A1c test.
Diabetes Prevention
- Using literature and visual aids, this booth provides information on modifiable diabetes risk factors and lifestyle tips for risk reduction.
An exercise physiologist discusses guidelines and principles of a well-balanced exercise routine. Demonstration on proper form and various equipment usage is provided. This booth can be customized with information related to general exercise topics such as cardiovascular exercise, strength training, and stretching.
This booth demonstrates how to accurately perform this life-saving CPR technique that can be performed by anyone in an emergency. AED and choking may also be included upon request.
To help prevent the spread of germs, learn best practices for handwashing. Participants will get a “hands-on” experience in handwashing, and they may be surprised by what they learn.
This fun, interactive, and educational booth quizzes participants on their health knowledge while educating on health and wellness topics. Specific topics can be requested.
Back problems arise for a variety of reasons. A healthcare professional can provide instruction on proper lifting techniques as well as stretching and strengthening for key areas of tension. Healthy-back literature and tips are provided.
This interactive booth provides information on modifiable cardiovascular risk factors and tips for risk reduction.
Learn the health benefits of hydration and the negative effects of dehydration. Explore the healthiest ways to stay hydrated for optimal health.
Learn about arthritis, treatment options, and medical interventions. Hip, knee, and shoulder joints models are used as visual aids.
Learn multiple areas of kitchen and food safety including; how to put out a grease fire, what foods stay safe during a power outage, and healthy cooking with fats and oils of different smoke points.
This display focuses on four major eye conditions that may lead to low vision— macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, cataracts, and glaucoma. Participants learn about risk factors for low vision and everyday strategies to promote eye health.
Join us as we introduce you to Kettering Health’s MyChart. A staff member from Community Outreach will show you how to create or access your MyChart account as well as review the list of menu items that allow you to stay connected to and access your personal medical record with ease. Special attention is given to Advance Directives and sharing with family members. Should you need assistance in navigating your MyChart account, individual appointments can be made.

This booth uses visual aids to educate on the importance of bone health and tips for preventing osteoporosis through nutrition and exercise.
Sleep impacts every aspect of our health. This display discusses the benefits of sleep and the negative health effects that come with lack of sleep. Healthy sleep tips are provided.
Stress impacts many aspects of health. Managing stress is an important component of a healthy lifestyle. We share techniques for identifying stressors and healthy vs unhealthy strategies for managing stress.
- Educational Booth: Learn the best ways to keep your skin safe while enjoying your time in the sun. Sun safety tips are shared, including the importance of using sunscreen lotions, clothing, and headwear.
- Sun Damage Awareness (Dermascan): Damage to the skin is not always visible to the naked eye. Using black light equipment, participants can observe damaged skin caused by exposure to the sun’s ultraviolet rays. $50/hour
This visual booth shows the harmful effects of smoking, using smokeless tobacco, and vaping. Learn about available tobacco cessation programs.
