Athletes aren’t the only people who need help staying fit. We make sure police officers, firefighters, and other first responders working in public safety also stay in shape so they can do their jobs to the best of their abilities.
We also provide performance testing to make sure they meet the physical standards required by their jobs.
First Responders Health & Wellness Program
We understand the physical demand of jobs that involve helping keep people safe. That’s one reason why we help public safety officers and first responders stay at the top of their game and prepared for duty.
The athletic trainers at Kettering Health help law enforcement officials and first responders recover from injuries and stay healthy.
Kettering Health also provides athletic training services to various departments throughout western Ohio. We help keep public safety officers and first responders on the job by providing support and training to help them reach their goals.
The Firefighter Mile
The Firefighter Mile (FFM) is a test for entry-level firefighters to evaluate their physical capabilities. The FFM consists of 10 events designed to simulate critical, physically demanding tasks faced by firefighters during an emergency.
FFM is based on decades of research in physical ability testing and extensive job analysis data collected from various fire departments. To schedule a test and for more information visit nationaltestingnetwork.com.
