Safety training for Communities and Coaches
Safety starts with preparation. Through hands on‑ CPR, AED, First Aid, and Emergency Action Plan training, we help schools, teams, and organizations build safer environments and ensure everyone knows what to do when every second counts.
CPR & AED Training
Equip your team, staff, or organization with lifesaving skills through American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR, First Aid, and AED courses.
Course outcomes include:
- CPR for adults, children, and infants
- Use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
- First aid skills for common injuries and emergencies
- Meets Ohio coach permit requirements
- A two-year certification card is issued upon completion

Our sports medicine team partners with community facilities to develop custom Emergency Action Plans that support rapid, coordinated responses during emergencies.

First Aid Training for Coaches
For the Ohio Department of Education Pupil Activity Permit requirements, we offer First Aid training for Coaches as well as the American Heart Association’s First Aid training. After completing the course, you will receive a course completion card that’s valid for two years.
Internships, Rotations & Job Shadowing

Student educational seminars and workshops
Our student-focused educational opportunities introduce participants to exercise science, athletic training, and sports medicine. We offer a half-day spring seminar and a four-day summer camp, both providing a mix of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practical sessions. These experiences are taught by athletic trainers, physical therapists, and other local sports medicine professionals who help students explore future healthcare pathways.
Public Speaking and Health Fairs
Our experienced team of athletic trainers, physical therapists, nutritionists, and exercise physiologists can present on a wide range of sports medicine topics, from healthy eating on a budget to injury prevention. We also engage with communities by hosting interactive tables at health fairs for all ages, covering topics such as improving your balance and Stop the Bleed training.
