Unexpected. Unprecedented. While these terms have become all too common in recent years, hardships still happen, and they’re often unpredicted. And when they bring financial challenges, it can make a difficult situation even harder.
Each of the four foundations at Kettering Health has a dedicated employee assistance fund, specifically designated to help our fellow team members who are facing financial challenges. In 2024, they supported more than 400 team members in times of crisis.
Keep reading to learn how to request support, and how to lend a helping hand by donating to the funds.
Requesting support
Employee assistance funds are available to employees who are experiencing a financial emergency. Once the application is completed, all employees should receive a response within 48 hours of submitting a question or application. Once the application is approved and processed, completing the request could take between 7-10 days.
Funds are managed by each of the four foundations, and eligibility and the application process vary by foundation. Find details in the myHR article linked here.
