Care Philosophy
Being diagnosed with cancer is one of the most devastating life events someone can experience, and the shock a patient and their family feels at that time is palpable. Our knowledge of what drives cancer to develop and how to treat cancer is growing every day, and trying to explain these complex concepts when someone is overwhelmed is challenging. I try very hard to avoid medical terminology when working with my patients and to explain these difficult ideas and treatment plans in plain language. I hope that by doing so, I provide a small measure of clarity to my patients and their loved ones and help them face what lies ahead.
