Joseph Waugh, APRN-CNP, is a nurse practitioner specializing in internal medicine. Joseph has experience in critical care and hospital medicine along with special interests in strokes, neurosciences, neurosurgery, neurology, and intensive care.
He earned his Master of Science Nursing degree from Lehman College in the Bronx, New York, in 2014.
In his spare time, Joseph enjoys traveling, skateboarding, cooking, and spending time with his family.
What is a Certified Nurse Practitioner?
A certified nurse practitioner (CNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse. They hold a master’s or doctoral degree and have advanced clinical training. They collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat patients. Like physicians, they can make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
What is a Hospitalist?
A hospitalist works with your primary care physician to provide you with the highest level of care while you are in the hospital. During your stay, you may meet one or more of our Kettering Health Medical Group Hospital Medicine team as they provide you with exceptional, around-the-clock specialized care.
