Your orthopedic specialist may recommend an injection (shot) to reduce inflammation and pain as part of your rehabilitation and therapy. Injections can help ease symptoms in patients with tendonitis, bursitis, osteoarthritis, and other conditions.

Types of Injections

Injections may be a part of your overall orthopedic rehab and therapy treatment. We offer two types of injections, depending on your condition. These include the following:

Hyaluronic acid injections, which lubricate the joints with a gel-like fluid for improved mobility in patients with osteoarthritis.
Steroid injections, like cortisone, which help reduce inflammation for temporary pain relief from injury, repetitive motion, and arthritis.
