Why Plastic Surgery?
We understand cancer treatment is a difficult time for patients. And we are here to offer the skill and expertise that will help you return to the life you want after treatment.
Our plastic surgeons specialize in the reconstructive needs of patients treated for breast, skin, head and neck, and colorectal cancers.
Microsurgery
Microsurgery is a special type of plastic surgery.
During microsurgery, surgeons transfer tissue from one part of the body to another. This is commonly used to remove extra tissue from the abdomen and transfer it to the chest for breast reconstruction. This offers breast cancer patients a reconstructive option without the need for breast implants. Microsurgical techniques may also be required to reconstruct larger wounds following other types of cancer treatment.
