Nutrition Programs Offered at Kettering Health
Kettering Health offers two programs to help you reach your weight and nutrition goals:
Metabolic rate evaluation
Understanding your metabolic rate can help you control your weight loss and gain, improve weight-related health conditions, and identify balanced eating strategies. This program features the following:
- Use the MedGem® oxygen consumption device to determine metabolic rate and percentage of body fat.
- Review current physical activity, calorie intake, and nutritional needs.
- Receive detailed information explaining the metabolic gap.
- Implement a personalized plan of action, including nutrition consultation, meal planning, and an exercise goal.
This program is offered at our Far Hills location.
Sports nutrition
Our sports nutritionists show you how to manage your health and nutrition needs. Develop skills related to your personal nutrition choices, physical activity, stress management, and behavior modification.
Athletes will learn important information regarding their diet and health choices. They will also receive information on caloric intake directed toward performance enhancement and be guided on what to eat and drink before, during, and after training sessions.
Food coaching is also available. This includes analysis of your favorite restaurants with attention to convenience, budget, nutritional content, and personal preferences. Our staff can provide follow-up nutritional emails to provide ongoing expert advice.
We also provide in-services and lectures on nutrition and wellness to your team(s) or professional groups.
