What is Dry Needling? 

Dry needling uses monofilament needles to improve range of motion, manage pain, improve muscle pliability, and reduce inflammation. 

Why Might I Need Dry Needling? 

You may benefit from dry needling if you experience

• Pain in your muscles and joints 
• Tendonitis 
• Headaches and migraines  
• TMJ

What to Expect With Dry Needling 

After evaluation, your treatment may include either

• Superficial needling: Your therapist will insert the needle only five to ten millimeters below the skin. 
• Deep needling: Your therapist will insert the needle beyond the subcutaneous tissue deep into the muscle. 

The number of needles used and length of treatment will also vary depending on your condition. 

Slight soreness for 24-48 hours afterward is normal. It is important to stay hydrated and continue regular movement. Heat can be used if needed.
