As our bodies age, so does our immune system increasing the likelihood of developing shingles—a blistering, painful rash that can be challenging to manage. Shingles develops when the varicella zoster virus, the same virus that causes chicken pox, becomes reactivated in the body. Dr. Venture will talk about shingles and how you can protect yourself, including information on the SHINGRIX vaccine.
