Katlyn Robison, APRN-CNP, is a nurse practitioner working in cancer care, with a special interest in pain management.

She earned her Master of Science in nursing-nurse practitioner from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion, Indiana. Prior to her role, Katlyn worked as a registered nurse in the preoperative and post-anesthesia care units at Kettering Health.

Katlyn became a nurse practitioner because she wanted to combine her nursing foundation in compassionate, holistic care with the ability to practice at an advanced level. In pain management, Katlyn was drawn to the chance to help patients regain function and quality of life, and to serve as both a provider and an advocate in a field that often requires patience, trust, and persistence.

Outside of patient care, Katlyn enjoys reading, spending time with her family, traveling, and watching college and NFL football.

This provider specializes in caring for patients during their stay in the hospital, overseeing their treatment and guiding them to recovery. After you’re discharged, you will be seen by your regular specialist or primary care provider.

What is a Certified Nurse Practitioner?

A certified nurse practitioner (CNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse. They hold a master’s or doctoral degree and have advanced clinical training. They collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat patients. Like physicians, they can make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
