Kathleen "Sarah" Derr, PA-C, is a physician assistant with a focus on gastroenterology. She previously worked as a physician assistant in neurosurgery.
Sarah earned her Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science from the U.S. Air Force Academy. She then went on to earn a Master of Science in Psychology from Walden University and her Master of Physician Assistant Practice from the University of Dayton.
When she's not taking care of her patients, she enjoys the outdoors, reading, and spending time with her family.

A physician assistant (PA) is a licensed healthcare provider who holds a master’s or doctoral degree and has advanced clinical training. They collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat patients. Like physicians, they make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.

The provider Sarah Derr was extremely courteous knowledgeable and professional. She answered her questions and seem to understand our concern.
Was a good experience with exception to interruption by someone wanting to discuss another patients case during my appointment. (My appt was telehealth, the person may not have realized we were in the middle of appointment, and a my guess)). Anyway, maybe a sign Telehealth In Progress could eleviate disclosure of info and disruptions in the future. Just a thought. No huge deal though.
Both the PA and the new NP were great!! I appreciate both taking the time to listen to my concerns and trying to address them.
