About Me
Jonathan Saxe, MD, is a board-certified general surgeon and surgical critical care physician working in trauma surgery with special interests in acute care and surgical education.
Dr. Saxe earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He completed his general surgery residency and his trauma surgery fellowship at Wayne State University as well. Dr. Saxe has had many years of clinical experience and served in many roles over the years, including chief of surgery, director of trauma services, director of surgical research, program director of surgical residencies, and many more.
Dr. Saxe chose to become a physician to help people when they are most vulnerable and in the most need. In his spare time, Dr. Saxe enjoys caring for people in various resource-poor communities around the world.
