Daniel Zarrate Gomez, MD, is a board-certified internal medicine physician working in hospital medicine with special interests in preventive medicine, lifestyle and wellness, chronic disease management, and mental health.

Dr. Zarrate Gomez earned his Doctor of Medicine from El Bosque University in Bogota, Colombia. He served his internal medicine residency at Kettering Health. Dr. Zarrate Gomez also worked at an urgent care center in Dayton before serving his residency.

Dr. Zarrate Gomez was inspired to become a physician by both his parents, who worked in healthcare. His father was an ophthalmologist, and his mother was a chief nurse. Growing up, he witnessed their unwavering commitment to their patients—their compassion, work ethic, and the respect they earned from those they cared for and worked with. It instilled in him the desire to follow in their footsteps, to become a doctor and use his knowledge and skills to serve others, especially those in need.

In his spare time, Dr. Zarrate Gomez loves being active and is passionate about sports like tennis, soccer, and mountain biking. He also enjoys music production as a creative outlet, and loves traveling to explore new places and experience different cultures.
