Carrie Cain, APRN-CNP, is a nurse practitioner working in primary care with special interests in pediatrics, chronic disease management, women's health, wellness, acute illnesses, and adult care.

She earned her Master of Science in nursing-nurse practitioner from Cedarville University. Carrie has experience working as a certified medical assistant, registered nurse, and nurse practitioner. She worked at Kettering Health in the past as a registered nurse in medical-surgical nursing, oncology, and critical care.

Carrie chose to become an advanced practice provider (APP) because she loved being a nurse but felt like she was called to do more. Becoming an APP allowed her to empower patients to reach their best health. As a nurse practitioner, she can help patients achieve these goals while still being a strong advocate for them.

Outside of patient care, Carrie enjoys riding her bike, gardening, and baking. She is also an avid houseplant lover and a self-proclaimed "bird nerd."

A certified nurse practitioner (CNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse. They hold a master’s or doctoral degree and have advanced clinical training. They collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat patients. Like physicians, they can make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
