About Me
Carey Brown, MD, is the medical director for Kettering Health Miamisburg's bariatric program.
Dr. Brown specializes in metabolic surgery with a focus on minimally invasive bariatric procedures to treat obesity and related chronic illnesses.
He earned his undergraduate degree from Walsh University and his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. He completed his residency at Marshall University School of Medicine.
He has been board certified in General Surgery since 2006.
He is a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and an American College of Surgeons. Dr. Brown was one of the first surgeons in Northern Kentucky to perform single-site incision laparoscopic (SILS) cholecystectomy.
