Cameron Little, APRN-CNP, is a nurse practitioner working in heart and vascular. He focuses specifically on heart failure, arrythmia management, coronary artery disease treatment and prevention, and the long-term optimization of guideline-directed medical therapy.

He earned his Master of Science in nursing-nurse practitioner from Simmons University in Boston, Massachusetts. Cameron has previous experience working as a registered nurse in critical care, cardiac medicine, and pediatric critical care. He also worked for a few years as a nurse practitioner in North Carolina, in the heart and vascular area.

Cameron grew up in a family of nurses and saw firsthand how compassionate, skilled care can change the trajectory of someone's life. His experience at the bedside — caring for patients at their most vulnerable moments, from birth through end of life — shaped his commitment to being an advanced practice provider (APP). Becoming an APP has allowed him to take a more active role in diagnosing, educating, and partnering with patients so they receive the personalized, evidence-based care they deserve.

Outside of patient care, Cameron enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, exploring new restaurants, and going to the gym.

What is a Certified Nurse Practitioner?

A certified nurse practitioner (CNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse. They hold a master’s or doctoral degree and have advanced clinical training. They collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat patients. Like physicians, they can make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
