Anna Bergman, APRN-CNP, is a nurse practitioner working in heart and vascular with special interests in cardiology, chronic disease management, preventive care, and wellness.

She earned her Master of Science in nursing-nurse practitioner from The Ohio State University. Anna worked as a travel nurse in the intensive care unit and lived in Florida for five years. Before her role with Kettering Health, she worked as a nurse practitioner in hospital medicine, aesthetics, and heart failure.

Anna chose to become an advanced practice provider (APP) because she wanted to provide more in-depth care for her patients. As a nurse, she developed strong relationships with patients and their families, and she saw the importance of holistic, compassionate care. Being an APP allows Anna to combine her clinical experience with advanced knowledge, so she can provide high-quality, patient-centered care while continuing to advocate for her patients.

Outside of patient care, Anna enjoys going for walks, working out, traveling to the beach, and spending time with her friends and family.

What is a Certified Nurse Practitioner?

A certified nurse practitioner (CNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse. They hold a master’s or doctoral degree and have advanced clinical training. They collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat patients. Like physicians, they can make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
