What is a Certified Nurse Midwife?
A certified nurse midwife (CNM) is an advanced practice registered nurse. They hold a master’s or doctoral degree with specialized training in Women’s Health and a concentration in pregnancy, labor, birth, and care after birth. Midwives affirm the strength of women and recognize the importance of a woman’s well-being through every stage of life. Like physicians, they can make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.

Care Philosophy

I don't want patients to feel like they're passengers on their own health journey. I believe patients know their bodies better than anyone and I know medical guidelines. By working together, I strive to ensure every patient achieves optimal health.

Allison is the best!
Allison is amazing. Each time we met with her she took time to connect with us, listened to our concerns, answered our questions and helped us trouble shoot any issues we were having. We felt so comfortable having conversations with her about any prenatal and postpartum issues. We Loved working with her and would recommend her to anyone.
I recorded a 5 because my concerns of cancelling my c-section were heard and told it would be a conversation. The midwife was more driven to address my concerns about decreased fetal movement. Howeve, I havent heard more about my c-section from the provider, MD, Hospital staff, or clinic staff. I am planning on the assumption that I am still having my surgery, but the hosiptal midwife said it would be cancelled, I am due for surgery in 3 days...
Allison was exceptional about letting me lead the discussion and answering my questions. She made me feel good about my plans for the future and made the whole appointment comfortable.
