About Me
Dakshin Gangadharamurthy, MD, MPH, or "Dr. Murthy", is a board-certified cardiologist specializing in non-invasive cardiology. He has a special interest and is trained in advanced cardiac imaging (cardiac MRI, cardiac CT).
He earned his Doctor of Medicine from Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute in India. He then earned his Master of Public Health from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, MD, with training in public health approaches in preventing cardiovascular diseases at an early stage. Dr. Murthy later worked as a research fellow in the cardiac MR PET CT program at Massachusetts General Hospital and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA. He completed his cardiology fellowship at Magnolia Regional Health Center/Baptist Healthcare, Memphis, TN. Dr. Murthy then finished an advanced cardiac imaging fellowship specializing in cardiac MRI and cardiac CT at the Ohio State University, Columbus, OH. Dr. Murthy was also appointed Assistant Professor at Wright State University.
In his spare time, Dr. Murthy enjoys spending time with his kids and family, traveling, and cooking.

Care Philosophy
Timely recognition and prevention of cardiovascular medical conditions is critical to successful patient care. I use multimodality imaging approach and subspecialty skills in basic and advanced cardiac imaging techniques to successfully diagnose at an early stage and treat cardiovascular conditions in a cost-effective manner.
