Every day, our nurses go above and beyond to make a lasting impact on patients, families, and fellow team members. During Nurses Week, May 4-8, we celebrate your compassion, skill, and dedication. All week long, nurses and nursing care teams are invited to take part in special events in honor of the incredible difference you make in patients’ lives.

Blessing of the Hands
During the month of May, the Spiritual Services team will visit nursing units, conducting ceremonies to bless the hands of nurses and nurse care teams who perform sacred work each day.
Food events, May 4-8
A variety of food events are happening at medical center campuses on different days throughout the week. Please check with your nurse manager for questions about campus-specific events.
Cameos of Caring Celebration, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., May 8
The celebration will honor this year’s Cameos of Caring nominees from each campus. The honorees, nominated by peers and selected by nursing leadership, represent some of the finest nursing talents at Kettering Health. Nursing leadership from across the system will gather with Cameos of Caring honorees to share system updates, discuss best practices, and consider how to continue elevating the craft of nursing at Kettering Health. This is an invitation-only event.
