Rosemary
Unsure
Rosemary was my main nurse before my fallopian tube removal and was extremely kind. Everything in the facility was, from reception to post-op, but she truly stood out. I had a lot of anxiety and she genuinely listened and we shared so many stories about our lives which really helped. You can tell she exudes positivity and light and just brings a general sense of comfort that reminded me of my own mother who I was missing greatly in that moment.
Michaela
B
Michaela B absolutely deserves a daisy award. I recently had an extended stay visit at the Kettering Washington township location due to having a membrane rupture that required me to stay in the hospital 2 weeks before delivering my baby at 34 weeks. During the duration of my stay, Michaela went above and beyond to answer any questions I had (which was a lot) and make sure I was comfortable and well taken care of each night. Fast forward when it was time to deliver my son, the day I was scheduled to get induced I thankfully had Michaela again. She decorated my room for my delivery! She had a banner that said “it’s a boy” and streamers and balloons placed throughout the room! During my labor, she kept a close eye on me and my son, switching positions often to make sure I was making change on my own once we realized my son was not responding positively to Pitocin which eventually had to be shut off. I truly believe Michaela is the reason I didn’t end up having a c section. I spent a total of 14 days in the hospital before giving birth to my son and I hope everyone has a nurse as kind, diligent and patient as Michaela! Thank you again so much for taking such good care of me and my son!
Jill and Tracy
3E Cardiac Unit
I was a patient on the 3E Cardiac Unit at Kettering Health Main Campus in Kettering on January 16, 2026, and my nurse was Jill. At 01:24 AM on Jan 17, I had a cardiac arrest due to a Torsades event (post second dose of Tikosyn), and my life was saved because of the quick response by the staff on 3E that evening. Jill was my nurse for the night shift, and Tracy was the Nurse Manager on schedule that evening. I don't have the name of the HUC on schedule that evening, but she was also part of the life-saving event. Tracy performed CPR / chest compressions while Jill implemented the other necessary Code Blue procedures. My wife was assisted with compassion, prayer, and kindness by two aids who were on shift that evening, and multiple staff arrived from all over the hospital to assist. We both are forever grateful for the professional medical care, along with the comfort and kind bedside manner of everyone involved that evening for this traumatic event I - and my family - experienced. We are forever grateful for the genuine care provided by all hospital staff during this (and my December surgery visit) as well. Because this was a life-changing event that required strong, quick-thinking, professional medical experience when my heart stopped beating for ten minutes of my life, I want to specifically honor Tracy and Jill for the life-saving gift they gave me and my family. It was a brave and crucial feat. A world of thanks for your life-saving treatment!
Sincerely,
Mike Diano and my wife, Jeannine

I would like to thank Kayla for being a wonderful nurse. This is my second baby but first baby after a c-section. I was having trouble latching my baby and she was amazing to help at getting him to latch and giving me support. I did make the decision to bottle feed breastmilk and she reassured me that it is perfectly normal and okay as well. Thank you for helping my postpartum recovery be smoother and all the support.

I just wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank you for the incredible care and compassion you showed my mother Patricia Maxwell today. Your attentiveness and kindness made such a difference in helping manage her pain, and it truly meant a lot to our family. it really was such a relief when the whole team, including you listened and showed care and compassion without judgment.
It’s clear how much you care about your patients, and we are so grateful that she was in your hands. Thank you for going above and beyond—you made a difficult day much easier for all of us.
You truly are an amazing example of excellent care and compassion and I’m sure many nurses look up to you.

Judy worked in PACU, and I unfortunately did not get her last name. She had such a reassuring presence and was truly an amazing nurse. She spoke to me about my goals and passions and helped ease my anxiety. I’m so grateful for nurses like Judy!
Heather
@ Sugarcreek Breast Center
Heather has great customer service! She’s not only very knowledgeable and communicative in the process, but she truly cares. It’s always a joy to visit the Breast Center at Sugar Creek as the atmosphere is peaceful and Heather goes a step above with her fantastic personality. She is joyful and kind and, welcomes patients in a time when so many simply check a box and move onto the next. Heather is a standout nurse and I leave the Sugarcreek office with joy every time because I’m not left feeling like “just a patient.” And the warm, pink robes are so comforting! 😊
Thank you Heather for going above and beyond.
Jacie

Jacie works in the ER at Kettering Main and made our long uncomfortable night in the ER not only bearable but borderline enjoyable. My fiance is a frequent flyer and kettering has many amazing er nurses but she absolutely stands out. I was unable to get her last name but anyone who has met her knows exactly who I'm talking about. Intelligent, compassionate, trauma informed, and patient. She was irreplaceable for us during a long hard day when my fiance was in incredible pain. Thank you Jacie💛 I hope we have the pleasure of being treated by you in the future.

Nellie,
The night of April 24, 2025 was one of the worst and most frightening of my life. I was awaiting abdominal surgery the next morning and because of the pre op antibiotics I was given, I was extremely sick all night. I was sick, weak and scared to death. You stayed with me the entire night. Held my hand and reassured me and comforted me. You even called the doctor to tell him I was having a terrible allergic reaction to one of the antibiotics.
I will never forget the compassion and care you gave me that night. I know you came to ICU after surgery and prayed for me. You are one of my Angels who got me through an extremely difficult time. There is no way to ever fully thank you. I will never forget you.
With heartfelt thanks,
Deb

Emma was my night shift L&D nurse on 4/8 going into 4/9 in room 4203. She was beyond helpful to the point I can’t even put it into words. She was able to help make the labor process and even pushing a fun time. I am so so thankful she was there for me for the delivery of my first baby, although stressful I loved every minute of it! I hope she knows how much of an impact she has on her patients and what a fantastic nurse she is! I am so happy my son was delivered on her shift, she keep saying we’re gonna have this baby before I leave and she was right! 6:25 am!
