Becky
Jackson
I want to thank Becky for the amazing care she provided me after my unplanned c-section. I had an urgent c-section due to pre-eclampsia at 36 weeks and had to be on a magnesium drip. My baby ended up needing to go to the NICU, and I was unable to be with her. I was having a hard time processing everything that I had just gone through, but my nurse, Becky, was so wonderful. The 24 hours I had to go without seeing my baby were so hard and lonely, but she was always checking on me, talking with me about how I was feeling, etc. When the 24 hours were up, she helped me get up and shower immediately so I could go see my baby. She even packed up all my bags, loaded them onto a cart, and took them to my mother/baby room so I could go straight to the NICU. The next day, she came my daughters NICU room to give me resources on birth trauma. I will never forget her!
Sydney
.
I wanted to nominate both Denise and Sydney for this award even though it was nearly a year ago I had my weight loss surgery. Denise worked in Pre op area and she kept me comfortable the whole time before my surgery was scheduled to start. Sydney was one of my nurses during the recovery part when I stayed in the room overnight. She was very kind and always asked if I was comfortable or needed anything. Both of these ladies are very deserving of this award! 🙂 They even sent me home with a get well card that I still have in my drawer at home that I have kept.

Short stay unit
This nurse aid has went above and beyond for me. I had emergency surgery and she literally made sure I was comfortable and did everything. She went above and beyond. We really need more STNAs like her. She deserves so much for everything she’s doing for these patients. I have severe anxiety and she went above and beyond. She makes me feel cared for. Thank you

Chad,
Thank you for taking excellent care of Kyle while in CICU and for keeping me and my sister-in-law informed every step of the way. Your dedication to keep him comfortable and safe made it possible for me to feel comfortable enough to go home and take care of my family and myself. Even on his worst days I was never afraid to leave knowing you would take care of him. You and the whole team went above and beyond and I can never thank you enough.

I would like to thank all of the nurses and nursing assistants on 2-South who took care of me during my stay especially - Nurses-Tabetha, Poh, Rachel and nursing assistants-Maegen, Javeon, Sasha.
All of you were wonderful and I appreciated everything you did for me.
Thanks to Lydia James their Clinical Nurse Manager for information she provided me even after my stay!

Simon
Thank you for being so amazing during one of the hardest times of my life. You made me feel heard and helped me more than you could ever know. You are an amazing nurse and person.
Heather
Not sure
Heather from Labor and Delivery came down during my trauma after a car accident to monitor baby. Not only did she save my expensive work clothes from the trauma shears of the ED, but she reassured me immediately on how my baby was doing and was very proactive in giving me updates and reassurance during the chaotic ED trauma bay. She was very comforting to have at bedside during a very stressful evening.
Daphne?
Don't know
Daphne, I think that was your name. 5th floor I came in at like 230 or 3 in the morning. So when I came in on friday night/ sat morning, I was a mess, scared and just didn't know what to think. Your kindness and loving compassion reminded me about the nurse we spoke about from when I was little. Thank you so much! You are truly the highlight and of the few things that made my stay better.
