About Me
Stephen Wenzke, MD, is a board-certified internal and cardiovascular medicine physician working in heart and vascular who has special interests in coronary artery disease, hypertension, and electrophysiology.
Dr. Wenzke chose to become a physician because he wanted to work closely with people and make a meaningful difference in their lives. Medicine offered him a unique combination of science and human connection. He was especially drawn to cardiology and electrophysiology because of the challenge of understanding complex rhythms and the ability to improve patients' quality of life in very direct ways. That motivation has remained constant in Dr. Wenzke's career.
Outside of patient care, Dr. Wenzke enjoys spending time with his family, golfing, playing guitar, and hiking.

Care Philosophy
I believe that excellent cardiovascular care begins with listening carefully to each patient and understanding their individual goals, concerns, and overall health context. While advances in electrophysiology and cardiology have provided powerful diagnostic and therapeutic tools, I emphasize thoughtful, evidence-based decision-making, using interventions when they are truly beneficial and avoiding them when they are not.
