About Me
Samantha "Sam" Long, DO, MS, is a board-certified family medicine physician working in primary care. She has special interests in osteopathic manipulative medicine/treatment, sports medicine, mental health, and LGBTQ+ care.
Dr. Long earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine at Ohio University and her Master of Science in Medical Physiology from Case Western University. She completed her family medicine residency at the Soin Family Medicine residency program in Beavercreek.
Dr. Long developed an interest in medicine at a young age, influenced by her mother's work as an orthopedic surgical nurse and the compassionate care her grandmother received during cancer treatment. Although she initially studied business and communications, her passion ultimately led her to pursue a career in medicine.
Outside of patient care, Dr. Long enjoys rock climbing and hiking. She also loves Krav Maga and kenpo jutsu (martial arts).

Care Philosophy
To quote Dr. A.T. Still, who formed the foundation of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine I enjoy practicing, 'to find health should be the object of the doctor; anyone can find disease.' I believe that people are more than a collection of symptoms or diagnoses, and that medical care requires a collaborative approach. Working with people to optimize their goals and overall health by using empathy, resilience, evidence-based medicine, and an open mind is my objective.
