About Me
Robert Henison, APRN-CNP (DNP), is a nurse practitioner working in behavioral health. He cares for individuals with psychiatric/mental health disorders and emotional disturbances. Robert has a wide array of interests in psychiatry, including mental-health care of those with chronic and acute mental health conditions, medication management, and psychiatric evaluation and assessment.
He earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice and his Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Michigan. Before his role with Kettering Health, Robert worked in intensive care for nearly 10 years.
He became a psychiatric nurse practitioner to assist patients in managing their mental health symptoms, so they can better care for themselves, their loved ones, and their families. Together, he and his patients agree on a plan of care that puts that patient and their needs first. As a nurse practitioner, Robert aims to assist patients in realizing self-empowerment through education so they are better informed to be active participants in their care plan. In his spare time, Robert travels every chance he gets, especially to Puerto Rico, his favorite place for leisure. He also loves swimming, gardening, and archery.
