About Me
Rawan Aljaras, MD, is a board-eligible gastroenterologist with a special interest in cancer prevention, standardized cancer screening, and the management of inflammatory bowel disease. Dr. Aljaras is dedicated to helping patients achieve better digestive health through preventive care, early detection, and personalized treatment plans.
Dr. Aljaras earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Jordan and completed her internal medicine residency at Indiana University. She then served as a hospitalist in Springfield, Ohio, before pursuing advanced fellowship training in gastroenterology at Wright State University. Dr. Aljaras has also contributed extensively to gastroenterology research through numerous publications and presentations focused on digestive diseases, nutrition, cancer prevention, and gastrointestinal disorders.
Dr. Aljaras chose to become a physician because she wanted to help people through difficult times while pursuing a career filled with purpose and meaning.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Aljaras enjoys cooking, traveling, and spending time with family. These interests help her maintain balance and bring a warm, personal approach to the care she provides for her patients.
