About Me
Nathan Damiano, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician who provides comprehensive primary care focused on helping patients achieve and maintain long-term health. His clinical interests include preventive medicine, wellness, geriatric care, and chronic disease management, with particular emphasis on conditions such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, and obesity.
Dr. Damiano brings extensive experience to his practice, including over a decade of service as an active-duty Air Force physician. During his military career, he completed deployments to Afghanistan and Peru, caring for diverse patient populations in a variety of healthcare settings.
Dr. Damiano chose medicine after witnessing the profound impact that quality primary care can have on patients and families while his mother faced a life-threatening illness. That experience inspired him to pursue a career in primary care, where he could combine his talents and passion for service to help others. He believes that caring for patients is both a privilege and a meaningful way to make a lasting difference in people's lives.
Outside of work, Dr. Damiano enjoys running, cooking, gardening, and studying French. He lives in the Dayton area with his spouse and rescue dog, and values opportunities to learn, connect with others, and enjoy the outdoors.

Care Philosophy
I am committed to providing high-quality medical care that is firmly based on scientific evidence and trusted medical society guidelines, but to do so in a way that acknowledges and respects my patients' beliefs, desires, goals, and concerns. I strive to listen to and understand my patients as complete individuals and give them all the tools and knowledge needed to make good decisions about their health. I am particularly focused on ensuring that my patients understand that in medicine, doing 'too much' — too many labs, too many medications, too many imaging studies — can carry as much risk as doing too little, and that any care I recommend is based on good evidence that the benefits will outweigh the risks.
