Mohi Mitiek, MD, FACS, FACC, is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon specializing in minimum access valve and bypass surgeries. He is interested in complex, high-risk, robotic, minimum access, and thoracoscopic cardiothoracic surgery. Dr. Mitiek also specializes in robotic cardiothoracic surgery as well as esophageal surgery for both benign and malignant conditions. He also performs video-assisted thoracoscopic lung surgery, a minimally invasive technique that can be used for lung cancer patients.
Dr. Mitiek is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and also a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC). He did his formal general surgery training at the University of Kansas and formal training in cardiothoracic surgery at Long Island Jewish New York followed by a fellowship in minimum access thoracic and esophagus surgery at the University of Minnesota.
In his spare time, he enjoys hiking, CrossFit, and spending time with his family.
