About Me
Michael Rohrer, DO, is a board-certified internal medicine physician working in hospital medicine with special interests in inpatient medicine, chronic disease management, and lifestyle changes.
He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Marian University at Tim and Julie Wood College of Osteopathic Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Rohrer completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine. Prior to his role at Kettering Health, he worked for a couple of years as a hospitalist.
Growing up, Dr. Rohrer witnessed several family members suffering through illnesses, particularly his father who struggled with complications of a giant cell tumor that ultimately required amputation above the knee. Navigating the healthcare system and witnessing physician interactions filled with compassion, sparked a desire to pursue a career in medicine. Throughout his academic career, Dr. Rohrer loved the complexity and nuance of medical science and being able to unite his intellectual curiosities with the opportunity to heal through knowledge and compassion.
Outside of patient care, Dr. Rohrer enjoys spending time with his family, trying new recipes, golfing, and attending sporting events.

Care Philosophy
Building a trusting therapeutic relationship and acting as an advocate for our patient's health and wellbeing is a great honor. I believe that viewing our patients as fellow human beings and using a prospective lens — as if they were your own parent, sibling, spouse, etc. — ensures that we always provide compassionate patient centric care.
