About Me
Megan Payne, APRN-CNP, is a family nurse practitioner providing comprehensive primary care for newborns to older adults. Her clinical interests include women's health, preventive care, chronic disease management, mental health, and weight management. Megan enjoys caring for patients of all ages and offers a range of women's health services, including cervical cancer screenings, contraceptive management, IUD and Nexplanon placement, breast exams, and support for patients navigating perimenopause.
Megan earned her Master of Science in nursing-nurse practitioner from the University of Cincinnati. Before becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a critical care registered nurse, gaining experience in intensive care settings and caring for patients with complex medical needs. Prior to joining Kettering Health Medical Group, she practiced as a family nurse practitioner at a federally qualified health center, where she provided primary care services, managed chronic conditions, and collaborated with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.
Megan's passion for healthcare began at a young age while watching "MASH" with her family. She admired the compassion, humor, and dedication the characters brought to patient care, which inspired her own path into medicine. Although she never originally envisioned becoming a nurse practitioner, she is grateful for the journey and finds great fulfillment in caring for her patients and helping them achieve their health goals.
Outside of work, Megan enjoys life on a small hobby farm with her spouse, daughter, chickens, and a large garden. She especially loves growing flowers and appreciates the many joys and adventures of parenthood. Her experiences both as a healthcare provider and a parent help her connect with patients and families in meaningful ways.

Care Philosophy
Be the change you want to see in the world," is more than a phrase for me. I strive to take care of my patients the way I would like a provider to care for my family members as patients. I consistently go the extra mile to ensure everyone is taken care of.
