Kim Butler, APRN-CNP, is a nurse practitioner working in primary care with special interests in disease prevention and management, education, and preventative medicine.

She earned her Master of Science in nursing-nurse practitioner from Northern Kentucky University and her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Ohio University. Kim previously worked at The Little Clinic® with Kroger Health as a nurse practitioner. She also has previous experience in trauma, emergency, and home health care.

Kim became an advanced practice provider because she has the drive and desire for greater clinical knowledge, professional collaboration, and autonomy. She also has a passion for helping others. In her spare time, Kim enjoys spending time with family, cooking, hiking, and doing Pilates.

What is a Certified Nurse Practitioner?

A certified nurse practitioner (CNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse. They hold a master’s or doctoral degree and have advanced clinical training. They collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat patients. Like physicians, they can make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
