Kanitha Wood, APRN-CNP, is a nurse practitioner working in brain and spine with special interests in neurology and surgery. She focuses on prevention, education, and empowering individuals to take an active role in their health.

Kanitha earned her Master of Science in nursing-family nurse practitioner from Youngstown University. She started her healthcare career as a state-tested nursing assistant (STNA), which ignited her interest in becoming a nurse. Kanitha worked for a decade at Kettering Health, as a licensed practical nurse (LPN), and as a registered nurse (RN), before becoming a nurse practitioner.

Witnessing her mother's care after a serious car accident inspired Kanitha's path in healthcare and her commitment to compassionate, patient-centered practice. Her journey reflects a lifelong commitment to clinical excellence, leadership, and serving patients with integrity.

Outside of patient care, Kanitha enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going to concerts and festivals, exploring different cultures, and hanging out with her two Yorkie puppies.
