About Me
Jessica Darnell, APRN-CNP, DNP, FNP-BC, is a family nurse practitioner with a strong focus on vascular surgery, cardiovascular health, chronic disease management, preventive care, and patient education. Her clinical interests include peripheral artery disease, venous disease, carotid artery disease, abdominal aortic aneurysm surveillance, postoperative vascular surgery care, and cardiovascular risk reduction.
Jessica earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Master of Science in nursing-nurse practitioner from Cedarville University. Throughout her career, she has gained experience in vascular surgery, family medicine, urgent care, emergency medicine, and cardiac care settings. In addition to her clinical practice, Jessica serves as an adjunct faculty member for Cedarville University's graduate nursing program and contributes to vascular research initiatives focused on improving patient outcomes.
Jessica became an advanced practice provider because she feels called to serve others through compassionate healthcare. She values the opportunity to support patients during difficult times and is committed to providing care rooted in empathy, integrity, and respect.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys traveling, hiking, camping, swimming, crocheting, and reading. Her love of lifelong learning, adventure, and personal connection helps shape the compassionate approach she brings to patient care every day. Jessica also enjoys spending time with her spouse, her friends, family, and dog.

A certified nurse practitioner (CNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse. They hold a master’s or doctoral degree and have advanced clinical training. They collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat patients. Like physicians, they can make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
