Elizabeth Adams, APRN-CNP, is a nurse practitioner working in primary care with special interests in wellness, prevention, mental health, and chronic disease management.

She earned her Master of Science in nursing-nurse practitioner from the University of Cincinnati. Elizabeth worked as a registered nurse for 15 years before becoming a nurse practitioner. She then worked as a nurse practitioner at a little clinic for nearly a decade before coming to Kettering Health.

Elizabeth chose to become an advanced practice provider because she wanted a challenge. She quickly realized after becoming a nurse practitioner that it is not only a challenge, but it is also very rewarding. Elizabeth just wants to use her profession to help others.

Outside of patient care, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, traveling, and personal fitness. She loves sewing and reading, where her current goal is to read all of Agatha Christie's books.

What is a Certified Nurse Practitioner?

A certified nurse practitioner (CNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse. They hold a master’s or doctoral degree and have advanced clinical training. They collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat patients. Like physicians, they can make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
