Brittany Howard, APRN-CNP, is a family nurse practitioner working in primary care and family medicine. Her clinical interests include preventive care and wellness, health education, routine screenings, and the management of acute and chronic health conditions.

Brittany earned a Master of Science in nursing-nurse practitioner from Indiana University East and completed her RN-to-BSN education at The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she gained extensive nursing experience in emergency medicine, critical care, cardiac and stroke care, and inpatient medical-surgical settings. Her diverse background includes work in primary care, emergency medicine, and long-term care.

Brittany chose to become a nurse practitioner because she wanted to make a meaningful difference in the lives of her patients.

Outside of work, Brittany enjoys spending time with her spouse and two children. She loves exploring the outdoors, hiking, taking long walks, and visiting local coffee shops. Brittany also has a strong appreciation for community involvement and looks forward to building meaningful relationships with the individuals and families she serves.

A certified nurse practitioner (CNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse. They hold a master’s or doctoral degree and have advanced clinical training. They collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat patients. Like physicians, they can make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
