About Me
Bal Krishna "B.K." Srivastava, MD, is a board-certified internal and nuclear medicine physician and cardiologist working in heart and vascular care. Some of the areas he focuses on are coronary artery disease, hypertensive heart disease, valvular heart disease, hyperlipidemia, and preventive care.
Dr. Srivastava earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Memorial (GSVM) Medical College in Kanpur, India. He then went on to complete his residency in the surgery department at the GSVM Medical College. Dr. Srivastava completed his second residency in the department of medicine at Bridgeport Hospital, which is affiliated with the Yale University School of Medicine. He had 30 years of experience in heart and vascular care prior to his role with Kettering Health.
Dr. Srivastava chose to become a cardiologist because it allows him to combine lifelong learning with meaningful service. He also wanted not only to treat heart disease but also to help patients make informed decisions that support their overall health and longevity.
Outside of patient care, Dr. Srivastava enjoys gardening.
