Baila Khatoon, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals and families across all stages of life. Her clinical interests include preventive medicine, women's health, chronic disease management, and lifestyle medicine.

Dr. Khatoon earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Rawalpindi Medical College in Pakistan and completed her family medicine residency at Detroit Medical Center–Sinai Grace Hospital in partnership with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. She has experience in both outpatient and inpatient medicine and has served in a variety of clinical roles throughout her career. In addition to caring for patients, she has been actively involved in medical education, mentoring medical students and junior residents while contributing to residency leadership and wellness initiatives.

Dr. Khatoon chose medicine because helping others brings her a deep sense of purpose and fulfillment. She values building meaningful relationships with patients and their families and finds it rewarding to serve as a trusted partner in their healthcare journey.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Khatoon enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, exploring new places, and enjoying the outdoors. She especially loves visiting state and national parks, biking, and appreciating nature, activities that help her stay active and maintain balance while fostering her sense of curiosity and adventure. Dr. Khatoon also is fluent in three different languages: English, Urdu, and Hindi.
