Andrew Overholser, PA-C, DMS, is a physician assistant working in primary care with special interests in chronic disease management, cardiovascular health, hypertension, type 2 diabetes, patient education, preventive care, and functional medicine.

He earned his Master of Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Toledo College of Medicine and his Doctor of Medical Science in Advanced Professional Practice from the University of Lynchburg in Lynchburg, Virginia. Andrew worked as an assistant professor at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and also worked as a family medicine clinician there.

Andrew chose to become a physician assistant because he wanted to bridge the gap between complex medical knowledge and everyday people. He has also always been drawn to helping patients to truly understand what is going on with their health, not just treating numbers or symptoms. Andrew's goal is to make medicine practical, relatable, and something patients feel confident managing in their daily lives.

Outside of patient care, Andrew enjoys playing guitar, playing in his band, and spending time outdoors.

A physician assistant (PA) is a licensed healthcare provider who holds a master’s or doctoral degree and has advanced clinical training. They collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat patients. Like physicians, they make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
