About Me
Allison Fay, APRN-CNP, is a nurse practitioner working in heart and vascular care. She specifically focuses on cardiology, electrophysiology, arrhythmia management, and cardiac devices.
Allison earned her Master of Science in nursing-nurse practitioner from Cedarville University and earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Kettering College. She worked in respiratory therapy for five years and also worked as a registered nurse for a decade, before becoming a nurse practitioner.
Allison chose to further her career and become an advanced practice provider (APP) in an effort to be more involved in patient care and to continue advocating for patients and their needs.
What is a Certified Nurse Practitioner?
A certified nurse practitioner (CNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse. They hold a master’s or doctoral degree and have advanced clinical training. They collaborate with physicians to diagnose and treat patients. Like physicians, they can make referrals, provide physical exams, order and interpret tests, and prescribe medications.
